Hotel Review
The Chester Residence, Edinburgh
Edinburgh's West End crescents are long curving streets of Georgian houses built on a grand scale for men of wealth and substance. A group of five of these now form the Chester Residence, 28 contemporary suites that will send design mavens to fixture and furnishings heaven (spot the Louis Vuitton). Never believe anyone who tells you size doesn't matter; think of the baths they can get into some of those bathrooms, while terrifically well kitted-out kitchens may prompt spontaneous cookery demonstrations (except in the morning when you'll want to stay in bed awaiting your breakfast hamper).
