An exemplary five-star country-house hotel on the edge of the New Forest that celebrities hire helicopters to get to (the hotel has two helipads). The spa with its large hydrotherapy suite, large indoor swimming pool, outdoor hot-tub and range of treatments is one of the draws, but so too is the award-winning restaurant with four sommeliers, the private 9-hole golf course, the indoor and outdoor tennis courts and the super-luxurious treehouse suites with uninterrupted forest views. A 20-minute walk through the grounds will bring you to Naish beach with a view of the Isle of Wight and you can also arrange archery, clay pigeon shooting and foraging, as well as croquet on the immaculate central croquet lawn.



The border between Hampshire and Dorset is on the property, marked by a small stream.

Located on the edge of the New Forest, there are plenty of great walking routes. Bournemouth is only a 20-minute drive away.
By car: around 2 hours 30 minutes from London and Bristol, and 3 hours from Birmingham. Free parking available.
By train: London Waterloo to New Milton takes 1 hour 40 minutes. The hotel is a 5-minute drive from the station.

Our Croquet Lawn room had a balcony terrace overlooking the croquet lawn, deep blue upholstery, a private dressing area and large bathroom. Each room has a tablet to order room service, book studio classes and spa treatments or browse local information.

A team of sommeliers are on hand to help you navigate the extensive wine list. The Thai lobster curry was exquisitely flavoured.
