Fanhams Hall and its elegant 27 acres of Grade I-listed grounds have considerable history. However, there's not a uniform look and feel to this place; the beautiful Queen Anne- and Jacobean-style house is encircled by modern buildings. Some guest rooms are spacious and retain historic features including four-poster beds, while others are contemporary in style. There are various lounge and bar areas and a small fitness room.

Due to its Hertfordshire location, there are a good choice of routes to the hotel.

Within a 20-minute drive, you'll find Panshanger Park, Hertford Heath and Paradise Wildlife Park.
By car: around 1 hour 30 minutes from London, 2 hours 30 minutes from Birmingham and 4 hours from Manchester. Free parking on-site.
By train: London Liverpool Street to Ware takes 40 minutes. It's a 7-minute drive to the hotel.
