Hotel Review
Locanda San Vigilio, Lake Garda, Italy
This delightful, family-run inn has a fabulous location on a promontory that juts out into the waters of the lake. Interiors ooze history: antiques and family heirlooms dot the premises, 16th century prints line the walls, and thick rugs add a cosy touch. The setting is divine: a charming, cobbled pathway snakes its way to the waterfront locanda, where ducks patter about the romantic pier, which is home to a delightful café and bar - it's a gorgeous spot to soak up the lake views with a drink in hand. The property is nestled in a five-acre park home to cypress trees and olive groves, with a delightful swimming pool for guests (a second is open to non-residents) and an excellent lakefront restaurant serving delicious Italian dishes.
