Ca's Xorc Luxury Retreat, Soller, Mallorca
A luxury agrotourism high in the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains that provides a tranquil retreat away from the tourist hordes on the coast and the perfect base for hiking in the UNESCO World Heritage landscape. The converted 18th-century olive mill and adjoining farmhouse are full of character with nooks and crannies revealing original Mallorcan features, such as hand-painted tiles and fireplaces. The restaurant laid out around the original olive press has garnered a good local reputation for its fusion cuisine, while breakfast is served at a long wooden banqueting table in an adjacent room. Wander the olive groves and citrus plantations or take a lounger by the infinity pool and enjoy the spectacular views down to Soller on the coast.

Perfect for those wanting to completely get away from the strains of modern life, we loved that the basket of lemons in the breakfast room sits below a painting of lemons and looks like an image in an interiors magazine.

Room 14 is at the top of the house and has a small terrace with a table and loungers and panoramic mountain views. The key fobs are cow bells that clank with the sound of the mountain when you lock your door.

Breakfast is served at a long wooden banqueting table. In the evenings, the cannelloni stuffed with oxtail stew in red wine sauce with a truffle bechamel is the most popular dish.
Barretes Restaurant: With a menu based on seasonal and local ingredients, you can expect delicate fish dishes and hearty meat mains, like Cod or Beef tenderloin.
