WHAT WE LOVE...

Step into a magical forest of exquisite tables, four-poster beds and benches handmade from birch, beech and sycamore trees by local craftsmen at this boutique hotel. Owners Maurizio and Francesca Redaelli are turning the property into the first sustainable hotel in the New Forest - and they have just received the Boutique Hotelier Best Sustainable Achievement award in recognition of their efforts. Solar-generated electricity is used to launder towels, kettles are low energy and fragrant toiletries and much of the food and drink is produced locally. The ambience of this characterful beamed property is homely, the rooms are contemporary and cosy and the staff efficient and friendly. Dog-friendly rooms at the rear of the property have their own patio.
