Hotel Review
The Bell Inn Hotel, Lyndhurst, New Forest
This coaching inn has been in the same family since 1782 and retains plenty of historic charm in the pub, while also offering a bright contemporary country-chic restaurant and 28 boutique rooms. Situated in the heart of the New Forest, you can expect deer, ponies, donkeys or pigs to parade outside the windows, either on the road (which takes you to the M27 in a couple of minutes) or in the garden. If golf is your game, then you have found a great spot. There is one 18-hole golf course behind the hotel and another (the oldest in Hampshire) a little further up the road. The food coming out of the kitchen is excellent with plenty of fresh local produce.

Style & Character
City dwellers looking to escape to the country will enjoy a stay here. We love the double-sided fireplace, which means that whatever area of the bar you choose to sit in, you benefit from the warmth of a log fire.
Service & Facilites

Food & Drink
The provenance of the ingredients is chalked up on a board, which reads like a children's story: Fluffits farm, Noah's Ark Farm and Swallowfields Farm among their local suppliers. The chilli salt squid is the best we've ever tasted.
The Bell Inn Restaurant: modern British cooking, local produce, much of it from the New Forest, seasonal menus. Food is served daily from 12 noon - 2.30pm and 6pm - 9pm. Main courses range from £13.50 to £28.50.
