The Swan, Loddon, Norfolk
The Swan has been a fixture of the attractive town of Loddon since the 18th century. Extensively renovated not long ago, it offers comfortable and characterful guest rooms, a homely bar area and a very pleasant restaurant offering excellent menus. It manages to be a down-to-earth pub popular with both locals and visitors alike, as well as offering fine restaurant offerings and boutique accommodation. Located on the main street, it is moments away from the River Chet, popular with tourists for its attractive scenery, rich wildlife and numerous boat moorings. The nearby surroundings offer wonderful walks, cycle routes, boating and birdwatching, and the village's fine buildings include a medieval church.
A walk around Loddon reveals a number of fine buildings, such as the watermill and the Holy Trinity Church, dating from 1490.
With the Norfolk broads on your doorstep, the Swan is a perfect base to explore them by bike, boat or on foot.
