Rokeby Manor is an early Victorian house dating from 1840 and retaining much of the character of a Highland country home. Built with local materials, it is located on the route to the Isle of Skye. The first tenant worked with Thomas Telford on the nearby Caledonian Canal, and in more modern times it has attracted a number of celebrities, including Burt Lancaster, during the filming of Local Hero, and renowned jazz violinist Stéphane Grappelli. It has smart, comfortable bedrooms and cosy, welcoming lounge and restaurant areas, and it's an ideal base for exploring the Great Glen. Fort William is nearby, as are a host of wooded walking trails and several majestic lochs.

There's a beautiful two-hour circular woodland walk along the River Garry to some impressive waterfalls right on the doorstep.

A perfect location for outdoor enthusiasts, with activities ranging from hiking to canoeing. Be sure to visit the Cairngorms National Park.
By train: trains run to Spean Bridge station from Glasgow Queen Street (3 hours 30 minutes) and London Euston (12 hours 30 minutes). It's a 15-minute drive to the hotel.
By plane: direct flights from London, Manchester or Birmingham to Inverness. It's an hour's drive to the hotel. Free parking on-site.
