WHAT WE LOVE...

This immaculate and classy bed and breakfast lies just outside the centre of Bath - the shops and main sights are about 10 minutes' walk away - in an end-of-terrace, wisteria-draped house built in 1871. With little passing traffic, the location is quiet. The six individual bedrooms are very pretty, with colour-coordinated décor and a rather swish French country style to the furnishings; ensuite shower rooms are smart and modern. Breakfasts are a cut above, and the managers, who lived in an apartment in the house, are extremely welcoming and helpful.

Style & Character

Couples looking for an upmarket bed and breakfast in a quiet spot, and are happy to have a little stroll to reach the centre of Bath will be very satisfied here. We love the light-filled and attractively decorated breakfast room, whose tables are laid out with blue-and-white gingham tablecloths and matching napkins.

Service & Facilities

Due to Bath's limited parking spaces, a great perk is the use of an on-street parking permit that is included in the rates.

Rooms

We love the extras: robes and slippers, quality toiletries from a Bath-based company, Kit Kat chocolate bars on the tea tray. Our favourite room is Number 3, Brindleys' most luxurious room, which has a bay window, wing-back chairs, a chandelier and lovely big white-painted bed.

Rooms 1-6
Facilities include: ensuite bathroom with Caroline Henry of Bath toiletries, bathrobes and towels, double bed, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee-making facilities

Food & Drink

Brindleys goes out of its way to use local produce, with eggs, bacon and sausages coming from named suppliers in the area. The cooked vegetarian option - herb and potato sausages with mushrooms and tomatoes - is very popular.

Breakfast: cooked and continental options, locally-sourced produce. Served Mon-Fri 8.30-9.30am and Sat-Sun 9.00-10.00am.
