WHAT WE LOVE...

This elegant beachfront property has so many facilities, you'll probably not want to leave and explore the city. It boasts views of the Gulf on one side and the stunning skyscrapers of the Dubai skyline on the other, and has 12 restaurants, bars and clubs, a variety of upmarket shops, one indoor and two outdoor pools, a luxurious spa, fitness centre and private beach with watersports. The decor in many public areas is stunning, and the 237 guest rooms are spacious and supremely comfortable.

THE DETAILS

Location

The resort is not within walking distance to Dubai's main attractions, but it's such a nice resort, you'll not be in a hurry to leave anyway. Downtown Dubai is a 20-minute drive, and there's definitely a lively party atmosphere: when we arrive there's loud live music in one corner and disco pumping from Nammos nightclub by the hotel on the beach, both competing with the call to prayer in the distance.

The hotel is near Dubai's nightlife and Jumeirah Beach.
By plane: flights from London and Manchester to Dubai take 7 hours. The hotel is a 25-minute drive from the airport. Free private parking on-site. skyscanner.com

Rooms

We love the spaciousness and high standard of everything: from the cloth laundry bags and toiletries, to the high quality beds, furniture and decor. Our favourite is Room 466, a huge suite with entrance hallway, lounge bedroom, two bathrooms and a balcony that has refreshing views of the Persian Gulf.
