When you step into this whimsical building you may think you've wandered into an exclusive private members' club rather than a hotel. Cosy up in the wonderfully colourful lounge with its big sofas and splashes of pink and grey, inspect the bold artworks in the large lobby, or wander into the lovely candle-lit inner courtyard, There's a buzzing bar and restaurant, another example of the quirky and colourful design on offer here. Set on an attractive cobblestoned street, it boasts a great location near the subway, bars, restaurants, and boutiques. The comfortable guest rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows that let the light flood in, and plenty of home comforts. There's also a 24-hour fitness centre, and a screening room too.

We love being in a quiet street in the heart of SoHo, near public transport and also lots of cafes, restaurants, bars and interesting shops; the location couldn't be much better.

The hotel is in lively SoHo; you can reach Chinatown, Tribeca and Greenwich Village in under 15 minutes.
By plane: flights to New York take 6 hours 50 mins from London and Edinburgh, and 7 hours 10 mins from Manchester. The hotel is a 45-minute taxi ride from JFK airport.
