If you or your children like whizzing down water slides and bobbing along on a lazy river, this well-run resort in Indian Wells will go down well. Even though there are 530 rooms, and it is often busy, a stay at this Hyatt Regency is enhanced by the stand-out fact that it boasts the largest guest rooms in Greater Palm Springs, all with a balcony or patio. There is a comprehensive spa with 21 treatment rooms plus a companion golf course. Jump in the car and you can soon be in downtown Palm Springs or beside the Salton Sea, making this a handy place to hang your sun-hat with the bonus of some seriously splashy fun.
