Cruise to the white continent on a specially-designed expedition ship to see unforgettable wildlife and dramatic landscapes

Limited time offer: SAVE 25% on selected departures, call for more information

Antarctica is a continent like no other. Untamed and unspoilt, this icy wilderness is home to jaw-dropping scenery, extreme climate conditions, roaming icebergs and magnificent marine life.

Join us on an adventure cruise on board custom-built expedition ship MS Fridtjof Nansen or MS Amundsen and you'll see for yourself why those who visit Antarctica carry the memories with them for a lifetime.

You'll be joined onboard by an expert, English-speaking expedition team of passionate specialists and modern-day explorers. Your expert team will tailor your excursions in Antarctica, where unpredictable weather and ice conditions mean that each expedition is different.

You can look forward to landings and ice cruises, kayaking among the icebergs, and spotting breaching whales and huddles of penguins.

You'll have one day to spend in Buenos Aires before your cruise begins, where you can spend the day exploring the 'Paris of South America', admiring its elegant architecture, tasting its fine red wine and steak, or watching some dramatic tango.

Then it's on to Ushuaia, in Argentina's southernmost region, Tierra Del Fuego, where you'll soon see why this city is nicknamed 'the End of the World'. Here you'll embark your state-of-the-art ship, either the MS Fridtjof Nansen or the MS Amundsen, to begin your cruise.

Your days at sea are full of opportunities for learning more about the white continent. Visit the Science Centre to learn from the expedition team, listen to insightful lectures about the science of Antarctica and the threat it faces from climate change, or find some peace and quiet in the library to read in your own time.

While your cruise is all about adventure, there are still opportunities to relax while at sea. Relax in the onboard spa or hot tubs, and enjoy the three restaurants and a stylish bar with floor-to-ceiling windows.

    Buenos Aires
    Buenos Aires, Argentina

An overnight stay in Argentina's capital Buenos Aires is the ideal way to start your Antarctic adventure. Home to a proud and diverse community of porteños, or 'people of the port', the city blends faded European splendour and Latin American panache.

There are seemingly endless places to explore in the city, including the many parrillas serving deliciously authentic Argentine steak. You might choose to practise your dance moves in the famous hometown of tango, or simply sit back with a glass of Malbec and watch the experts perform.

    Ushuaia
    Ushuaia, Argentina

Your Antarctic adventure begins with an early morning flight to Ushuaia. This bustling port is the capital of Argentina's Tierra del Fuego province. Set against the magnificent backdrop of the Martial Glacier, Ushuaia vies for the title of the world's southernmost city.

It's here that you'll board your home for the week, the hybrid-powered expedition ship, MS Fridtjof Nansen or the MS Amundsen, specially designed for exploring polar waters.

After a briefing from your expert, English-speaking expedition team, you'll have time to settle into your cabin and explore the comforts and amenities on board. Later, you'll join your expedition team and fellow adventurers for a welcome dinner.

There's also plenty of time to relax and meet your fellow adventurers. You might head to the pool for an invigorating swim or to the spa for an indulgent treatment. And make sure to look out for icebergs, whales and albatrosses as you sail.

    Antarctic Peninsula, Antarctica

After two days at sea, you'll arrive on the white continent. Surrounded by looming glaciers and icebergs the size of floating cathedrals, Antarctica will fill you with wonder.

Whales begin to arrive in greater numbers by December and January. This is also when the first penguin chicks hatch and seeing the clumsy clumps of feathers run around is always a charming sight. February and March are the peak of whale-watching opportunities, when large amounts of krill lure them to the area.

You'll join the expedition team on landings and ice cruises, all included as part of your expedition. If weather conditions allow, you may even get a chance to go kayaking among the icebergs. Back on board, the expedition team will continue their lectures, helping you grow your knowledge of the frozen continent.

Over five magical days, you'll experience this other-worldly place in a way that will stay with you for a lifetime.
