On arrival, you'll transfer to Henley-on-Thames where you'll head for the baroque-style Town Hall for a sparkling reception.
You'll enjoy a fascinating talk and Q&A with renowned writer and Countdown lexicographer Susie Dent, as she discusses her most recent books and her fascinating career, before a 45-minute interval, during which you may wish to stroll around Henley.
Return to your seats as the wonderful Sebastian Faulks arrives to discuss his recent books. The best-selling novelist is known for his historical works, such as Birdsong and Charlotte Gray, both of which were made into movies, and his most recent book, Snow Country, set in wartime Austria.
After these discussions are over, head back to Twyford Station where the British Pullman is waiting. Glass of champagne in hand, enjoy the buzz of conversation in your carriage as you share your thoughts on the afternoon's events.
A delectable three-course dinner, accompanied by our sommelier's choice of wine, will be served as the train glides through the countryside back to London.

Honouring George Mortimer Pullman, the father of luxury trains, the splendidly refurbished British Pullman epitomises a glamorous era of travel. Each carriage is individually named and has a fascinating story. Some were favoured by the British Royal Family, and two were part of Winston Churchill's funeral train. Others, like Audrey and Vera, survived bomb damage during air raids over London's Victoria Station in 1940. Today, the opulent carriages are set out in tables, ready to welcome guests as they dine on their journeys through the British countryside.
