Canada's scenery is breathtaking, and at its heart is one of the
greatest mountain ranges, the Rockies. With white peaks, valleys,
forests and more animals than people, it's the perfect destination
for a wilderness break. As it's a vast area, one of the best ways
to see its highlights is on board Rocky Mountaineer.
On this nine-day holiday, with dates available throughout 2021,
you'll enjoy two days in vibrant Vancouver, then board the train
for a journey to Lake Louise. Rolling along tracks carved into
cliffs, Rocky Mountaineer weaves past lakes and river canyons
towards the Rockies. You'll stop in Kamloops in British Columbia
overnight and disembark in Lake Louise.
You'll have time to explore Jasper National Park and the Columbia Icefield, where you can stride out on the Skywalk and ride an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier. Your adventure continues in Banff, where you'll enjoy nature walks, hot mineral pools, cruising on Lake Minnewanka and a helicopter ride before returning to the UK from Calgary.
You'll enjoy the SilverLeaf Service on this stylish train, which includes breakfasts and lunches on board, as well as the chance to admire mountain vistas through panoramic windows in a glass-domed coach. There's an outdoor viewing area for a closer look at the scenery and wildlife, which may include bald eagles, ospreys, elk, moose and bears.
Explore the city that hugs Canada's west coast. There's a thriving arts scene, Canada's largest Chinatown, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, Stanley Park and the Vancouver Lookout for incredible views.
From Banff's mountain lakes and waterfalls to Jasper National Park and the Columbia Icefield, one of the largest accumulations of ice south of the Arctic Circle, this trip includes some of Canada's most iconic landscapes. You'll also visit scenic Yoho Valley and see natural wonders such as Takakkaw Falls, Kicking Horse Pass and the Spiral Tunnels.
A National Park Pass is included, as well as activities such as riding an Ice Explorer, going on the Banff Gondola, venturing on to the Skywalk, and what is bound to be a highlight, a 12-minute helicopter flight over the Rockies.
