Explore the true icons of the Caribbean: Barbados, Antigua and Saint Lucia, where exquisite beaches, national parks and historical treasures await

News that Tradewinds' Golden Horizon is relocating to the Caribbean for the winter could not have been better timed - the thought of island-hopping across the sun-drenched West Indies is exactly the tonic we all need after such a turbulent year.

On this voyage around the best-known islands of the Caribbean, you will sail out of Barbados for a sea day, before reaching the luxury capital of Saint Barthélemy (affectionately known as St Barts), Gustavia.

Next is Basseterre in St Kitts, with its gorgeous beaches and hill fortress which you can discover today, then Antigua, St Lucia, and back to Bridgetown.

The colourful, hill-backed Falmouth Harbor in Antigua is one of the most picturesque dining settings, and St Lucia is a paradise of waterfalls, nautral springs, mountains and coconut palm-lined beaches.

You can choose to combine this amazing itinerary with Golden Horizon's two other Caribbean voyages: Hidden Gems and Undiscovered Caribbean, and enjoy a discounted rate.** Whichever you choose, you will start out with a night in a four-star hotel in Barbados giving you a chance to acclimatise before setting on a round-trip sailing from Bridgetown.

You can be as active as you like, with a choice of amazing optional excursions - from snorkelling trips, amazing dives, kayaking among stunning islets and tropical beaches, to rum distillery tastings, botanical gardens, barefoot beach bars and rainforest walks.

And you will enjoy the thrill of travelling on the world's largest square-rigged sailing vessel - Golden Horizon will operate under sail whenever possible - as well as relaxing in the on-board spa, pools, marina (complete with water sports), gym, and enjoying local delicacies, lectures and entertainment.
