River cruise
Taste your way along the Rhône with Marcus Wareing and Oz Clarke

This magical cruise will take you through one of the most picturesque corners of France, along the beautiful Saône and Rhône rivers, to sample the renowned cuisine and fine wines of Burgundy and Provence, and learn all about the region's fascinating history.
These romantic landscapes inspired some of the world's greatest artists, from Van Gogh to Cézanne and Gaugin, and as you sail through the unspoilt scenery along the Rhône and Saône rivers you'll see why. But of course, Burgundy and Provence are most famous for their irresistibly delicious produce, so your holiday will be made extra special by some exclusive gourmet events.
You'll be joined on board by Michelin-starred chef Marcus Wareing, and wine expert Oz Clarke. Judge and mentor on Masterchef: The Professionals, Marcus will show off his cooking skills during a live demo, as well as showing you around Lyon's iconic food market. Oz will join you on exclusive wine and truffle tastings, give a presentation on board, and choose the wines to accompany your evening meal.
You'll visit the wine centres of Beaune, Tournon, Tainl'Hermitage and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, explore foodie hotspot Lyon's ancient streets and sample its delicacies, and stop off at the enchanting village of Viviers and the walled city of Avignon, with its Papal Palace and stunning renaissance art collection. While there, you'll see some of the most impressive Roman ruins outside of Italy, including its soaring Aqueduct, while in Arles you'll be amazed by the well-preserved remains of its mighty amphitheatre.
Sailing on Uniworld's luxurious Super Ship Catherine in a spacious river-view Stateroom, you can dine in its elegant fine dining restaurant, with all your meals and drinks included, and relax in the swimming pool, opulent Bar du Leopard or Van Gough Lounge.
