Stay in one of England’s oldest hotels and get tips on shopping for antiques from the presenter of Channel 5’s The Great Auction Showdown

Spend three days exploring five of the Peak District's finest country houses, including Chatsworth House, Bolsover Castle, Tissington Hall, Hardwick Hall, and Renishaw Hall. You'll also have the chance to pick up an antique or two on a trip to Bolsover Antiques Centre. Helping you in your quest is Paul Martin, the popular presenter of Channel 5's The Great Auction Showdown with Paul Martin, who will share hints and tips on what to look for ahead of your visit. The antiques expert will also answer your questions about his fascinating life and career and join you on a visit to Chatsworth House.

As well as a guided tour of the impressive Chatsworth House, this exploration of the Peak District's finest estates includes a behind-the-scenes tour of Hardwick Hall. Both homes were created by the formidable Bess of Hardwick in the 1500s. You'll also visit Bolsover Castle, famously rebuilt by Bess's son Sir Charles Cavendish, and enjoy a guided 90-minute tour of Tissington Hall, a beautiful Jacobean mansion. The last of five insightful visits is an hour-long guided tour of Renishaw Hall, a spectacular family-occupied home.

You and your fellow travellers will stay at one of the oldest hotels in England, Old Hall, during the trip with breakfasts and dinners included throughout your stay. This historic hotel in the spa town of Buxton is one of England's oldest hotels, with a building that dates back to 1573, when it was originally built by Bess of Hardwick and the Earl of Shrewsbury. Yet while the exterior is fascinatingly historical, the comfortable interior is sympathetically styled with modern amenities.
