Explore the rich culture and cuisine of Slovenia with trips to Lake Bled, Ljubljana, the Triglav National Park and a truffle-hunting expedition, as well as wine and craft beer tasting and an introduction to traditional herb and tea culture

Slovenia is a land rich in natural beauty and with a rich culinary heritage influenced by the diversity of its landscapes. This six-day adventure will introduce you to the incredible contrasting scenery and the rich, varying flavours of the country's different regions.

Your journey starts in the colourful capital, Ljubljana, where you'll wander the cobbled streets and people-watch in one of the many cute cafes. The mediaeval town of Kamnik is also on your itinerary. This is the centre of Slovenia's craft beer production, and you'll visit the town's biggest brewery to taste their beers.

As well as enchanting towns and cities, Slovenia is full of exceptional natural scenery. You'll travel deep into the lush green rolling hills of the Slovenian countryside and learn about local herb culture and sample Slovenian herbal teas.

You'll marvel at the famous Lake Bled and its idyllic setting surrounded by the snowcapped Julian Alps, take a scenic drive through Triglav National Park where you'll walk the Tolmin Gorges circuit, and continue on to Vipava Valley to finish your day with wine tasting.

There's also a guided tour through the country's most famous UNESCO-protected caves, Skocjan, to look forward to, along with an olive oil tasting and a picnic lunch in the olive groves on the highest cliff on the Slovenian coastline.

A highlight of the trip is bound to be a Truffle Hunting excursion where you'll learn about the process of finding these delicious and valuable fungi before enjoying a hearty truffle-themed homestead dinner.
